I’ve talked time and time and time and time again that the upcoming Deadpool film is nailing it with their marketing.
Well, they’re at it again!
20th Century Fox released a new poster for the film today and, well, check it out for yourself:
Perhaps partly inspired by The Hawkeye Initiative, this poster definitely plays up both Deadpool’s sense of humor and his sexuality, which was confirmed via Entertainment Weekly as pansexual earlier.
This poster is in line with everything we’ve seen from the movie so far and what both cast and crew have claimed the movie to be. It’s promising to see a movie so consistent and dedicated to bringing this character to life in an authentic way.
Producer Simon Kinberg told Collider the film is “radical in tone, it’s radical in form, it’s radical in the level of violence. It’s just a different movie, not just from other comic book movies but I think from any other action movie that’s out there right now.”
As it should be.
Deadpool is set to hit theaters on February 12, 2016. It’s directed by Tim Miller and stars Ryan Reynolds, Ed Skrein, TJ Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Andre Tricoteux, and Morena Baccarin.
What do you think of the poster? Like me, are you getting more and more excited every day for this movie?
