Deadpool’s Not Even Out Yet and It’s Already Getting a Sequel

Deadpool comes out this weekend and people are already talking about it. A lot. Mostly in good ways.

Which is good for 20th Century Fox, because they’ve greenlit a sequel.

The film so far has an 83% with top critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and it’s sure to be the biggest box office hit of the weekend. It’s predicted to make at least $65 million.

The screenwriters for the first film, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, are already working on the sequel’s script.

Tim Miller, the director for Deadpool, isn’t part of the sequel yet, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox wants to keep the same team together for the second film. There’s no doubt that actor Ryan Reynolds would be willing to reprise the role.

Deadpool is set to hit theaters on February 12, 2016. It’s directed by Tim Miller and stars Ryan Reynolds, Ed Skrein, TJ Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Andre Tricoteux, and Morena Baccarin.
