Will Chris Pratt Be Searching for the Ark of the Covenant?

It’s understandable if you’re confused about what decade it is. This year we have movies that seem to be in the wrong decade, including Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Terminator, and Mad Max. It looks like it’s not going to stop there: Disney and LucasFilm seem to be eyeing a new Indiana Jones film.

The two companies acquired the rights in 2013 from Paramount. Since then, the big questions have been asked: when’s the next movie going to come out? Will Harrison Ford be in it? Will it be a reboot or sequel?

We previously heard rumors about a reboot with Bradley Cooper taking over the mantle of professor/adventurer Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. from Ford (similar to the way the James Bond films are continual reboots). It looks like a reboot is still on the table, but it’s not Cooper’s name rumored to be attached to the project – it’s Cooper’s Guardians of the Galaxy co-star, Chris Pratt.

Deadline is reporting that Disney and LucasFilm are starting to seriously move forward with reviving Indiana Jones again and that they’re eyeing Pratt for the titular rle. He certainly is the man of the hour, from his role as Star-Lord in Guardians to his starring role in the upcoming Jurassic World and possibly even the remake of The Magnificent Seven.

It’s not expected that the movie will come out until 2017 or possibly even 2018 but we think Pratt has the chops to pull the role off. He’s funny, ruggedly handsome, and we know now he can be an action star too.

That being said, it’s possible they could go with a lesser known name like they are with most of the new characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

What do you think about Chris Pratt becoming the new Indiana Jones? Let us know in the comments!
