Folk art meets both the future and the Stone Age in Enesco’s The Jetsons and The Flintstones Hanna Barbera Jim Shore statues.
From the Stone Age where machines are powered by birds, dinosaurs, and feet come Fred, Wilma, Betty, Barney, and of course baby Pebbles!
Jim Shore brought Bedrock’s popular characters to life by recreating one of the most memorable aspects of the show with best buds Barney and Fred cruising in their amusing foot-powered automobile measuring almost 7-inches long x 4 1/5-inches wide x 4-inches tall!
Fred is also featured in a separate statue measuring roughly 6 3/4-inches tall x 4-inches wide x 4-inches long ready to bowl a strike! Following is Fred’s beautiful wife, Wilma, holding their adorable baby Pebbles with matching orange hair. This statue measures approximately 5 1/2-inches tall x 3 1/5-inches long x 2 1/2-inches wide.
And lastly for the Flintstones there is Betty exerting her unconditional love to Barney by planting a kiss on his cheek in this 6 1/4-inches tall x 5 3/10-inches long x 3 1/5-inches wide statue.
And now let’s meet the Jetsons! They came all the way from a futuristic utopia in the year 2062 of elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, and whimsical inventions just to be on your shelves! Straight from Orbit City comes George, Jane, Judy, and Elroy Jetson as well as Rosie the Robot.
Patriarch George strikes a winning pose in this happy handcrafted piece measuring about 6 1/2-inches tall x 2 3/4-inches wide x 2-inches long. While his wife, Jane, strikes a comely pose in this colorful piece measuring about 5 3/4-inches tall x 2 3/4-inches long x 2 1/2-inches wide.
Following are their children, Orbit High School student’s, Judy and her precocious younger brother Elroy being silly in this fun-filled stone-resin statue that measures approximately 5-inches tall x 4 1/2-inches long x 2 1/2-inches wide.
And it wouldn’t be the future without Rosie the Robot! Rosie might not be the latest model, but you’ll love her as much as the Jetsons do. This statue measures roughly 6-inches tall x 3 3/4-inches long x 3-inches wide.
All statues are made of stone resin and decorated in Jim Shores unmistakable whimsical style folk art with a combination of quilt patterns and rosemaling motifs! They’re available for pre-order at Entertainment Earth, with an expected arrival of April 2016.
