The newest additions to the Disney Traditions statues line include several characters that get a lot less love in the merchandise department than perennial favorites like Ariel, Mickey Mouse, and Pooh Bear. Designed by Jim Shore and produced by Enesco, these folk-art style stone resin statues are must haves for collectors of Disneyana.
Two new 101 Dalmatian statues have been added, but dog lovers aren’t the only ones who will be excited: Marie from The Aristocats also makes an appearance! While immensely popular in Japanese Disney merchandise, Marie gets a lot less love on this side of the Pacific. Posed on a luscious cushion with her iconic giant pink bow, at almost 3-inches tall Marie is the cat’s pajamas!
Enesco have also added a new Disney Princess series, Fun with Friends! The collection depicts the Disney Princesses posed with their friends from the films. Here, Pocahontas kneels with hummingbird Flit perched on her outstretched hand. Her beautiful hair has been used as a background to make the rest of the statue pop. Ariel, Tiana, and Aurora are also available. Each statue is between 5 and 7-inches tall.
Fans of DuckTales will want to get their hands on the new Huey, Dewy, and Louie statue! At 7-inches long, the three duck brothers charge forth in a red wagon, no doubt on the way to mischief.
And this one will come as a real surprise: Elliot, from Pete’s Dragon, has joined the Disney Traditions! Looking goofy and lovable, Elliot stands at 9-inches tall and will be the perfect addition to any Disney collection that aims to be exhaustive.
You can find all of these statues, along with new statues of characters like Micky and Minnie, Pooh and Piglet, Jiminy Cricket, and Timon and Pumba, available for pre-order now at Entertainment Earth!
