You’ll be blown away when you see these beautiful Wizard of Oz Couture de Force statues! Enesco has added the Wicked Witch of the West, Glinda the Good Witch, and Dorothy to their Couture de Force line.
These statues are re-imaginings of your favorite film characters dressed to the nines in couture-inspired costumes. Dorothy’s iconic gingham dress now has a waterfall skirt matching the tumbling curls of her Oz-styled hair. The Wicked Witch, instead of blustery black robes, now has a tiered dress clearly inspired by Victorian Gothic. The detail on the skirt, the profusion of gemstones, and the poppies trailing in her wake give her a spooky but stylish look.
Glinda’s is perhaps the most unchanged from the 1939 film costume, but is no less beautiful. It’s hard to improve on perfection, but Glinda’s dress is updated in small ways – note the shoulders, sleeves, and bodice – giving it an elegant look while maintaining the frothy feel of the original.
The statues stand at 7 to 9-inches and are crafted from stone resin. They are available for pre-order at Entertainment Earth now, and Glinda comes with free shipping. If you’re desperate to add some flair to your collection, don’t forget to check out the Disney Couture de Force statues as well!
