The latest Avengers movie brought in an astounding $39 million from Thursday night’s previews. Opening nationwide to a Rotten Tomatoes score of 85%, this could very well end up being the highest-grossing comic book movie of all time.
Meanwhile, low-key thriller A Quiet Place has knocked Rampage off the top pedestal to become this week’s number one box office flick. In addition to a handful of cool new items in stock this week, we also saw the long-awaited Venom trailer.
There’s a lot to cover, so let’s dive in.
Tom Hardy’s the Ultimate Venom
As one of the most popular villains in the whole Marvel franchise, it was only a matter of time before Venom got his own movie. Fortunately, Sony Pictures looks like they’re pulling no punches with this soon-to-be-epic noir action film. Starring Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams, Venom looks like a cross between Tim Burton’s Batman and the classic Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies. Trust us – that’s a good thing. Check out the latest trailer below.
Infinity War Hits Theaters
It’s got Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Dr. Strange, Star-Lord, and pretty much every other Marvel member. Yup, it may have been years in the making, but we’re finally able to see our favorite heroes sharing the same screen. If you’re excited to see the new movies, you can get pumped for the latest cavalcade of Marvel magic the right way with your own Avengers: Infinity War Iron Spider Pop! Vinyl Figure. Sporting his new Stark-infused Spidey suit, he’s sure to stand out among your other vinyl figs.
And if you’ve already seen the movie, be sure to check out our review here. (Warning: it contains lots of spoilers.)
Celebrate Alien Day the Right Way
4/26 is a date close to most Alien fans’ hearts, as LV-426 was the name given to the moon that was home to the creepy, crawly Aliens species. Though the date has already come and gone, you can still celebrate your love for all things Aliens with this 8-bit Vinyl Figure. Based on the ultra-retro video game, this 3 3/4-inch figure is a great throwback to the 80s.
Get Ready to Rock
You don’t have to go all the way to Detroit Rock City to see KISS perform live: these new 3 ¾-inch action figures have everything you need to rock and roll all day and party every night. Based on their iconic Destroyer world tour, Gene, Peter, Paul, and Ace are decked out in awesome 70s attire. With tons of articulation, individual accessories and instruments, you’ll be shouting out loud how awesome these guys are.
