Ecto-1 Is Ready to Roll in the New Ghostbusters Film

Last time we brought you Ghostbusters news, director Paul Feig gifted us with several pictures from the new film. Well, he’s at it again!

In a way that shows he know how to use social media and tease fans with excitement, Feig has shared two new photos of a big part of the movie on Twitter:

He also continues his use of the hashtag, which is once again clever of him. Feig truly seems to be delighting in sharing this movie with us and getting excited about it which is really fun to watch.

Anyway, onto the important stuff! Like how cool Ecto-1 looks!

It’s different enough from the original iconic car to have Feig make his mark, but it still recalls a lot of great memories from the original films. One very cool detail is the set of antennae on the car, not unlike Dan Ackroyd’s early concepts.

The film has received plenty of backlash already and while that won’t stop any time soon, Feig and his crew seem to be having a lot of fun with the promising road ahead of them. We just can’t wait for the day we get footage!

Ghostbusters, directed by Paul Feig and starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Andy Garcia, is set to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
