We might have just learned who the big bad for Ghostbusters is – and it might not be who you expected.
Two days ago at Toy Fair New York 2016, “Pixel Dan” Eardley posted this Instagram photo:
Look familiar?
That’s the ghost from the logo! Granted, he has some extra features, like sharp teeth and a bow tie, but the resemblance certainly can’t be ignored.
If this turns out to be true, it’s an interesting direction for Paul Feig to go in.
Pixel Dan posted another photo today adding more information, like the ghost’s name:
Don’t forget the Ghostbusters will also be going up against famous New York paranormal figures, but Rowan might be the fiercest of the ghosts they face.
Ghostbusters, directed by Paul Feig and starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Andy Garcia, is set to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
