Marvel Studios and Disney premiered a brand new trailer for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 last night and not only did we get to see what Kurt Russell looks like as Ego the Living Planet but we also learn… SPOILER… he’s Star-Lord’s dad!
Your favorite a-holes are back saving the Galaxy again. Of course, their notion of saving said Galaxy involves a lot of awesome, yet ludicrous action.
Here is the full synopsis:
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Marvel Studios also released this ridiculously cool poster last night, obviously “Subtlety is not [their] strong suit” as director James Gunn said.
