Gyomei is incredibly strong and stoic, and his ability to manipulate the ground around him allows him to create powerful defensive and offensive attacks. He can also use his sense of touch to locate demons and predict their movements. Himejima is definitely the silent but deadly type. Although his fighting style is strong, this archetype is something we have seen before, and in overall lovability, we just had to put this big rock last.

#8 Shinobu Kocho – Insect Hashira

Shinobu uses her knowledge of poisons and her Insect Breathing technique to battle demons. Often becoming as graceful as a butterfly, or enhancing her attacks with poison, her insect knowledge is quite useful. Overall, having insect powers is cooler than we initially gave her credit for, but it still ranks low when compared to the rest of the Hashira’s abilities.
