Will James Bond’s Past Lead Him to His Future?

It’s been a big week for Agent 007 between the title and the cast.

Sam Mendes, director of latest James Bond movie Skyfall, announced the title of the newest Bond film, which he’s also directing, and new cast members.

The 24th Bond film will be called Spectre AKA SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, a fictional global terrorist organization featured in the Ian Fleming novels.

The new cast members include Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, and Andrew Scott as Denbigh. They will be joining returning cast members Daniel Craig as James Bond, Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, and Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner.

Sam Mendes teased the film with this statement: “It’s going to feel, perhaps, as if some big shadows from Bond’s deep past are going to resurface.”

In the 24th iteration, Bond receives a message from his past which sends him after Spectre. Meanwhile, M battles to keep the secret service alive while Bond tries to reveal the truth behind the terrorist organization. Principal photography is set to begin on Monday, with shooting over seven months at Pinewood Studios and locations across the globe.

Spectre is set to hit theaters on November 7, 2015. Sam Mendes will be directing, with John Logan, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade penning the script.
