Right on the heels of Nickelodeon announcing a brand new block of programming dedicated to 90s shows called The Splat, Jimmy Fallon decided to get in on the fun by doing a “Good Burger” sketch on The Tonight Show.
You can watch it below and before you ask, yes, both Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson are in it!
The nostalgia is strong with this one.
The sketch is posed as Fallon remembering his first job in food service – which turns out to be at Good Burger with Mitchell as his supervisor doing his memorable voice and shtick. Thompson shows up a bit later in the skit as an unimpressed patron.
There’s a lot of fun to be had in the video, especially if you grew up on Kenan and Kel and All That as I did. Nickelodeon paved the way for me to fall in love with Saturday Night Live, and I’m not the only one, of course, because Thompson’s a current cast member on the NBC show as well.
You’ll be hard pressed not to laugh or at least smile when you watch this. Suddenly I feel like I’m back in the 90s, growing up with these two.
Plus The Tonight Show also released a behind the scenes video of Mitchell and Thompson, which you can also watch below.
So: Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?
