Life Finds a Way in The New Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Trailer

It’s finally here! Universal had us waiting all day in anticipation, but the first full trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has at long last graced our eyeballs. And we appear to be in for a wild ride!

This film takes place several years after the events of the first Jurassic World. The once extravagant park has been left abandoned and nature has reclaimed this lost world. We’re reunited with Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) as they embark on a rescue mission to save the dinosaurs from an active volcano that’s on the verge of erupting.

We’re shown glimpses of numerous new characters, as well as one old familiar face. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) honors us with his presence in his return to the Jurassic franchise. “These creatures were here before us, and if we’re not careful, they’re going to be hereafter.” Wise words from a man who has survived numerous dinosaur attacks by this point.

It appears that this film will present the audience with an ethical dilemma. An ominous voice questions if the genetically engineered dinosaurs deserve the same rights and protections as other species, or if they should just be left to die. I’m firmly in camp “save the dinos,” especially after it’s revealed that the velociraptor Blue is still alive!

This film has promised to be the most action-packed and dinosaur-filled adventure yet. Along with Blue, we see the return of the Queen T-Rex herself, alongside a host of new herbivores and carnivores.

Do you think these prehistoric beasts will be able to survive extinction this time around? What are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments!

I’ll be over here getting far too emotionally invested in the fate of computer-generated dinosaurs.
