Legends of Tomorrow Casts a New Hero and the Big Bad Villain

The DC television universe is getting bigger and bigger. After the casting of Wally West in Season 2 of The Flash, two new actors have joined the spin-off series, Legends of Tomorrow.

First up, Falk Hentschel (Reckless) will play alongside Ciara Renée’s Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl as Carter Hall aka Hawkman.

In the series, Carter is the reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to continually reincarnate alongside Kendra. As Egyptian beings, their Hawk powers are derived from the god Horus who is typically depicted as a falcon/hawk-headed man.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl are one of the most popular and long-lasting couple in comics history so it’ll be exciting to see what the series does with them.

Next is our Big Bad for the spin-off: Vandal Savage! Danish actor Casper Crump (of the upcoming Warner Bros. Tarzan film) has landed the role of the immortal villain who will plague our heroes.

We first heard of him in the trailer for the series and he’s described as “having spent the past 6,000 years moving like a virulent disease through history, whispering in the ears of despots and dictators, all leading to his eventual domination of the world.”

Sounds like he’s going to be quite a handful.

Both characters will make their first appearance in an Arrow/The Flash crossover before transitioning over to Legends of Tomorrow.

Legends of Tomorrow is set to debut on The CW in early 2016 as a midseason series.
