Pranksters Enact a Real Life Mario Kart Race in Middle of London Mall

A group of London pranksters just got first place for their pretty impressive, albeit dangerous, Mario Kart prank.

On November 28, the group dressed up as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Wario, and Donkey Dong, and drove to London’s Westfield Shepherd’s Bush shopping mall with a car full of go-karts.

At the start of the video, Peach asks about the rules. Mario simply replies: “Don’t get caught. Don’t hit anyone and don’t get caught.” You can imagine what happens next.

Set to 8-bit and rockin’ video game music, the group proceeds to race through the halls of the shopping center, throwing bananas and pausing briefly in elevators, before triumphantly crossing the finish line in the car port.

Unsurprisingly, local authorities weren’t too impressed and at the end… well, just watch for yourself.

I suppose you gotta hand it to them for their dedication.

What do you think of the prank? Ill-advised or totally awesome? Sound off below!
