Meet the Teams for Marvel Comics’ Civil War II Event

There’s going to be even more Civil War in our future, thanks to Marvel Comics.

Back in October it was hinted that there was going to be a second Civil War event in the comics, and recently it was confirmed, but now we have even more crucial information: the teams.

Similar to the original event, Marvel released a set of posters which imply the age-old question: “Whose side are you on?”.

Led by Captain Marvel and Iron Man, the teams consist of some surprising faces, as well as less surprising ones, like the newly imagined, diversity driven characters.

So what are our heroes fighting about this time? Here’s a refresher for you: there’s new technology that can predict a crime and who commits it – should heroes and governments use it? Captain Marvel’s side says yes, while Iron Man’s team is opposed to it.

As for the team members, Captain Marvel is aligned with Monica Rambeau, She-Hulk, Ant-Man, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Blue Marvel, Medusa, Captain America (Steve Rogers), The Vision, War Machine and, Spider-Man.

Meanwhile, Team Iron Man consists of Black Widow, Deadpool, Captain America (Sam Wilson), The Totally Awesome Hulk, Hercules, Black Panther, Luke Cage, Thor (Jane Foster), Miss America, Star-Lord, and Daredevil.

Some of the alliances are curious. For example, Steve Rogers is now on the opposite side of his original Civil War stance, and there’s an interesting legal discussion here, with Daredevil and She-Hulk, both defense attorneys, on opposing sides. It’s also exciting to see younger, fresher faces included, like Miss America and Amadeus Cho’s Hulk, especially since they’re both Team Iron Man.

And then there’s Deadpool, who throws a wrench into everything by being included at all.

Civil War II is set to launch in May, just in time for the movie.

Whose side are you on and what do you think of the team choices? Sound off in the comments below!
