While another solo Batman film, possibly directed by the actor who’s currently playing him, Ben Affleck, is far from confirmed, it doesn’t stop fans from speculating.
Today, a new actor put in for a role in Gotham City, and it has fans all abuzz.
When Neil Patrick Harris was asked on Twitter if he’d be up to playing the Riddler aka Edward Nigma in the film, this was his response:
Totally, but only if neither of us have to go full frontal. #GoneGirlGoods https://t.co/jezaVa7MHW

Be still my heart! As the Riddler’s my favorite Batman villain, I’d love to see him in another movie.
I was excited when Jim Parsons expressed interest, and now I’m excited all over again!
As for the “full frontal” bit, that’s a reference to the movie he did with Affleck last year, Gone Girl.
He certainly has the sharp wit, build, and after seeing him as Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother, the narcissism to pull off the character. Not to mention he’s already played a supervillain before in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog!
And, oh yeah, he’s also dressed up as the Riddler already!
Happy Halloween from Gotham City!! pic.twitter.com/3gzmG44iEf

Plus he’s no stranger to the DC Universe, having played Nightwing in Batman: Under the Red Hood, The Flash in Justice League: The New Frontier, Ray Thompson in Justice League, and Two-Face in Robot Chicken.
