First Doctor Strange, then Punisher, and now Ghostbusters!
On second thought, please never calm down.
After getting a first official photo of our new Ghostbusters, we now have another one, and they still look just as awesome and badass:
Do you know what else I’m here for? The villains the Ghostbusters will be facing. EW sheds some light on the paranormal beings that will be terrorizing the world in this film:
“Dead criminals from all eras of New York’s underbelly past have returned to roost among the living in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot. Pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters are ready to take on four formidable female busters looking to rid the city of its phantasmic filth.”
AWESOME. Just imagine if Lucky Luciano or Arnold Rothstein or Benedict Arnold showed up. This set-up poses the possibility of great comedy and fun action, and I only get more and more excited every time I learn something new about this film.
Ghostbusters, directed by Paul Feig and starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Michael Kenneth Williams, and Andy Garcia, is set to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
