New Spider-Man Homecoming Photos Released!

Spider-Man was one of the break-out favorites of Captain America: Civil War, with people praising the new take of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. Fans caught a glimpse of Peter returning to his “normal” life in one of the post-credit scenes, and have to make due with more sneak peeks until his solo movie comes out next year.

Wait no more – the first images from Spider-Man: Homecoming of Holland suiting up have been released by entertainment site Looper!

Holland arrived on set in Atlanta, Georgia around 7 am on June 27 to film two scenes. The first scene featured the high school students taking a trip to Washington, D.C. The photos of Holland in his suit are from the second scene, where Spider-Man runs alongside a cement truck and jumps onto it. The scenes will reportedly be completed using CGI, though the action scenes where Spider-Man jumps onto the truck were performed by Holland, not a stunt double.

Spider-Man seems to be wearing the same costume that debuted in Captain America: Civil War, complete with a cell phone (a true teenager in 2016), and a Jansport backpack.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to be released on July 7, 2017. In addition to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, the cast includes Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Hannibal Buress, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man – though the size of his role is not known yet.
