As we continue to debate and freak out over whether or not Colin Firth will be returning for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, another new cast member has joined the sequel film. And it’s a great one.
Pedro Pascal, most well-known for playing everyone’s favorite Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones before meeting a grisly demise, will reportedly be playing a character named Jack Daniels in the spy film.
Nothing else is known about the character or his casting, but frankly, Kingsman + Pedro Pascal = Sign. Me. Up.
I loved the first Kingsman film, and the Martells are some of my favorite characters in A Song of Ice and Fire and Pascal was a perfect Oberyn in Season 4 (let’s not talk about the treatment of the Martells in Season 5), so this is a perfect combination in my eyes.
The sequel will see the return of familiar faces Taron Egerton as Eggsy and Mark Strong as Merlin, as well as new faces Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, and now Pedro Pascal, as well as our first look at the US Kingsman division.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is directed once more by Matthew Vaughn and set to arrive on June 16, 2017.
