Here we attempt to rank the various female characters – protagonists and antagonists – in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime/manga series from high to low in terms of power and ability. Perhaps needless to say, this is a very subjective process, subject to opinion and complicated by little available information in some cases. So, you probably won’t agree with all these ratings. We encourage you to enjoy them anyway!
#1 – Yuki Tsukumo
We begin with Yuki Tsukumo, an extremely powerful fighter and one of only four special grade sorcerers to possess incredibly unorthodox abilities. She’s also the only special grade sorcerer who doesn’t take on missions. A former Star Plasma Vessel, her cursed technique is Star Range that enables her to grant virtual mass to herself and her shikigami (small ghost) Garuda. Yuki has immense endurance, possesses elite combat instincts, and is a master hand-to-hand combatant, highly talented in jujutsu and capable of using her innate technique, barrier techniques, and domain expansion. She’s showcased her abilities against some of the strongest opponents available. Slender yet athletic, with light skin, Yuki has long blonde hair with tufts in front of each side of her face, wide brown eyes, thin eyebrows, and pronounced eyelashes. She’s nonchalant, playful, confident, brash, and very outspoken, and she works independent of Jujutsu High toward a curse-free world in her own way. Trust us – you want Yuki on your side!
#2 – Rika Orimoto
The Queen of Curses! Once a normal young girl that turned into a special-grade vengeful cursed spirit, Rika’s power was unmatched in terms of pure destructive potential. A fully manifested cursed Rika was considered a grave threat by the jujutsu higher-ups, to the point where they doubted if even Satoru Gojo could contain her! Basically, Rika’s power eclipsed that of nearly all other curses. Suguru Geto believed she was the key to forging the world he envisioned. As a young human girl, she had long black hair, soft eyes, and peach-colored skin. As a vengeful curse, her appearance was quite different: a large muscular upper body, long arms, a single cycloptic eye, tendrils extending from her head, and plenty of thin, sharp teeth. With Yuta’s help, she was finally able to pass on to the afterlife.
#3 – Takako Uro
Takako Uro is an ancient sorcerer that Kenjaku reincarnated as a player for the Culling Game. She’s an exceptional fighter, even by the standards of incarnated jujutsu sorcerers, and was the leader of a group of elite assassins that served the respected Fujiwara Family sorcerer clan in a much more prominent and violent era of jujutsu. Takako is one of the highest-scoring players in the early stages of the Culling Game, possessing expert close-combat skills, advanced endurance, and the ability to manipulate the sky and space. Takako is fit and has lightly tanned skin, long pink hair, and large eyes with pink irises. She’s also a proud, dedicated, hot-blooded woman with a serious temper. Beware!
#4 – Yorozu
Yorozu was one of the strongest sorcerers of the Heian era, the golden age of jujutsu. With a relatively insufficient cursed technique, she developed the most effective creations possible to assist her in battle. The fighting style she created defeated the Five Empty Generals of the Toh, garnering Yorozu official recognition from the Fujiwara clan. A jujutsu sorcerer from a thousand years ago, incarnated using Tsumiki Fushiguro’s body for the Culling Game, she was a brash, obnoxious, self-centered woman unrepentant of her behavior who hardly ever wore clothing. She was ultimately defeated by Sukuna.
#5 – Mei Mei
A grade 1 sorcerer and more than a capable fighter, Mei Mei’s weapon of choice is the battle ax. She’s cool and calm and so capable that Satoru Goto stated that Mei Mei is strong, a compliment this most-powerful sorcerer doesn’t hand out lightly! With questionable morals, she’s a supporting character in the series who prefers to work independently and only in exchange for money. Allegiances and politics mean nothing to Mei Mei as long as she gets paid for being a sorcerer. You’ll recognize her by her long, blue-tinted silver hair normally styled into two braids, light-peach skin, thin eyebrows, and small, sharp, dark-brown eyes.
#6 – Hana Kurusu
Hana Kurusu (来くる栖す華はな Kurusu Hana?) is a young sorceress about the same age as Jujutsu High’s first-years and a participant in Kenjaku’s Culling Game. An ancient Heian-era sorcerer called Angel has incarnated into Hana’s body and seeks to kill Sukuna. That said, Hana remains in control of her body. Thanks to powerful Angel, she can levitate herself, fly, and “extinguish” (nullify) any and all curses. Pretty handy, wouldn’t you say?
#7 – Utahime Iori

Solo Forbidden Area is semi-grade 1 sorcerer Utahime lori’s innate passive cursed energy technique. It temporarily amplifies the cursed energy of any willing sorcerer within range, including herself. Utahime is a teacher and student supervisor at Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School. She has long blackish-purple hair, thin eyebrows, brown eyes, and most noticeably, a scar on the right side of her face that crosses the bridge of her nose. You can’t miss her. She’s calm and kind, yet stern, and tries to set an example for her students.
#8 – Manami Suda
An ally of Suguru Geto, Manami is a curse user of unknown capabilities. When Suguru is absent, she takes on more of a commander role, delivering orders and such. So, it can be safely assumed that Manami possesses considerable skills as a sorcerer. A recurring character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Manami is a young woman with bright eyes and long light-colored hair. Like Suguru and his other allies, she believes non-sorcerers are unworthy monkeys.
#9 – Hanyu
A player in the Culling Game, Hanyu is a tall, muscular woman with long light-colored hair and small dark eyes. She’s a sorcerer with less-than-average power and a hair-based technique that enables her to move through the air at great speed and hit her opponents at high velocity. Hanyu sports aviator glasses to protect her eyes when flying. She and her partner Haba liked to pick off new, disoriented players in the game until Yuji Itadori defeated them.
#10 – Momo Nishimiya
A third-year student at Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High, Momo Nishimira is a semi-grade 2 sorcerer who uses the Tool Manipulation technique. This means she can telekinetically levitate objects such as her signature broom, which she always has with her. In a supportive rather than combative role, Momo uses her broom to hover above the battlefield and visually mark targets for other sorcerers. She has blonde hair tied into two pig-tails and pale blue eyes. Appropriately, her appearance is both youthful and witch-like.
#11 – Shoko Ieiri
Never a combat type of sorcerer but graduated as a full-fledged jujutsu sorcerer, Shoko leiri has not demonstrated the capacity to use normal cursed techniques. However, she possesses the rare ability to use a reverse cursed technique to regenerate lost limbs and heal wounds, something even Satoru Gojo can’t do. A rather serious and somber person, Shoko is a doctor at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. She’s tall with soft brown eyes and long brown hair she sometimes ties into a ponytail.
#12 – Ogami
Ogami was a talented sorcerer and reputable assassin in her heyday, but now she’s 87-years-old and nicknamed “Granny Ogami” for her elderly appearance. She’s an evil, self-serving old woman who used her Séance Technique and talents only for herself and even used her grandson as a vessel. Ogami is a minor antagonist in the Jujutsu Kaisen series.
#13 – Maki Zenin

Maki Zenin’s grade 4 ranking is deceptive and not reflective of her actual skill level. Born a non-sorcerer and low in cursed energy, her tremendous physical power, curse study at Jujutsu High, and mastery of the use of weapons enabled her to become a jujutsu sorcerer. Maki is strong-willed, capable, and motivated. She’s a tall, athletic woman with small golden eyes and long black hair, usually in a ponytail, and she uses different pairs of glasses to see curses. Maki is the elder twin sister of Mai Zenin.
#14 – Mai Zenin

Maki’s younger twin sister is Mai Zenin, with mid-length black hair, dark-brown eyes, and thin eyebrows. Mai is a grade 3 sorcerer with very little talent for jujutsu. She was born with a cursed technique and more cursed energy than Maki, but not nearly enough to make her technique effective. She’s an unwilling sorcerer, lacking the drive to be a fighter, with a snarky, rude personality and penchant for taking out her frustrations on others. However, Mai is also an expert markswoman.
#15 – Kasumi Miwa

With abilities about the level of a average sorcerer, Kasumi Miwa makes up for her lack of an innate cursed technique with her work ethic. She’s a grade 3 sorcerer and expert swordswoman who uses the New Shadow Style swordsmanship techniques, but she’s no match for Maki or a powerful sorcerer like Kenjaku. Kindhearted, caring, and hardworking, she has long light-blue hair, dark triangular eyebrows, and asymmetrical bangs. So, you should be able to recognize her!
#16 – Nobara Kugisaki

Nobara Kugisaki is a young grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, inexperienced as a sorcerer but a strong fighter. Confident and brash with unshakable character, she possesses the “Straw Doll Technique.” With her mid-length orange hair styled with bangs over the right side of her forehead, long eyelashes and thin eyebrows of the same color, and orange eyes, you can’t miss her! As of this writing, her whereabouts and status are unknown.
#17 – Riko Amanai
This feisty, outspoken young woman who wears her long dark hair braided in the back with a light-colored hairband on top of her head was just a normal teenage girl until she was suddenly thrust into the jujutsu world. Rico Amanai is a non-combatant in the series, but she can see curses and has a good understanding of the workings of jujutsu. She’s the Star Plasma Vessel and a target for many curse users. Eventually, she’s killed by Toji, setting off a chain of events leading to the Culling Game.
#18 – Misato Kuroi
Here’s a sorcerer who can also see curses and use jujutsu, although she’s never seen performing it. Primarily a non-combatant, Misato Kuroi is capable of engaging in armed combat against an enemy curse user, but if unprepared or caught off guard, she’s vulnerable enough to be captured by non-curse users. Misato is a supporting character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series and caretaker of Star Plasma Vessel Riko Amanai. She’s a kind and fit woman with dark eyes, thin eyebrows, and long black hair tied in a bun.
#19 – Remi
Remi is a human turned jujutsu sorcerer by Kenjaku. A cunning and attractive young woman who uses her good looks to her advantage, she has light-colored eyes and long black hair shaped into a stinging scorpion tail! Remi is a manipulative antagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen, but she has very little combat prowess and must rely on others to protect her.
#20 – Mimiko Hasaba
Antagonist sorcerer Mimiko Hasaba’s abilities are unknown for the most part. That said, she carries a cursed doll that has multiple stitches and a noose around its neck for her technique. Mimiko has brown eyes and short black hair set in a bob cut. She and her twin sister Nanako were both allies of Suguru Geto, and Sukuna later kills them.
#21 – Nanako Hasaba
Nanako Hasaba is Mimiko Hasaba’s twin sister and an antagonist in the series. A sorcerer with unknown capabilities, her technique enables her to manipulate photographed subjects captured in her phone’s camera. Nanako has brown eyes and long caramel-colored hair she ties back into a bun. She and her sister were both allies of Suguru Geto, and Sukuna later kills them.
#22 – Kaori Itadori
You never actually see Kaori Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen, but it’s implied that she’s the late wife of Jin Itadori and mother of Yuji. Little is known about her other than her body was taken over by Kenjaku when she died. In addition, Kaori’s abilities are currently unknown, but she was capable of jujutsu.
#23 – Tsumiki Fushiguro
Tsumiki Fushiguro is a kind girl with brown eyes and long brown hair she wears in a ponytail and long bangs on the sides of her face. She’s the older stepsister of Megumi. Tsumiki awakens from a coma induced by ancient sorcerer Kenjaku to find herself in the Culling Game possessed by Heian Era sorcerer Yorozu. To date, little is known of her capabilities.
#24 – Nobuko Takada
Nobuko Takada, aka “Tall Idol Takada-Chan,” is a normal human being with no exceptional abilities. As a popular Japanese idol, she’s cheerful and happy to pose with her fans, one of the most avid being grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer Aoi Todo. Always stylish, Nobuko is tall with golden eyes, wispy bangs, and long black hair tied into twin tails.
#25 – Yuko Ozawa
A tall girl with blonde hair and bangs over her forehead, Yuko Ozawa is an old classmate of Yuji Itadori from junior high school, where she developed a crush on him. Yuko is a minor character in Jujutsu Kaisen and a normal human with no superior abilities.
#26 – Saori
Saori was a good friend of Nobara until she left the village. Nobara described her as beautiful and “kind as a nun.” With brown hair and brown eyes, she’s hardworking but is an ordinary human being who possesses no special abilities.
#27 – Nagi Yoshino
A friendly, somewhat irresponsible woman, Nagi Yosjiro was Junpei Yoshino’s mother, killed by a curse spirit. Her death led Junpei to become a curse user. A non-sorcerer with no special powers, she had shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes.
#28 – Akari Nitta
Akari Nitta is a non-sorcerer who has no superpowers, but she’s a kind and caring person. Akari is Arat’s older sister and the manager at Tokyo Jujutsu High who accompanies the first years on their mission to defeat the Yasohachi Bridge curse. With her long-sleeved jacket, button-down shirt, black pants, and black shoes, she’s recognizable by her light-colored neck-length hair that’s swept to one side and her light-colored triangular eyebrows.
#29 – Setsuko Sasaki
A minor character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Setsuko Sasaki is one of Yuji’s seniors from the Occult Research Club at Sugisawa Third High School. She’s a normal teenager with no extraordinary abilities. Setsuko has blue eyes and wears glasses, and she styles her black hair in a bob.
#30 – Fumi
One young student who is not a sorcerer is Fumi. A minor character in the series, she’s Nobara’s quiet, shy, and caring childhood friend. Fumi likes to tie her long, dark hair into a high ponytail.
#31 – Saki Rindo
Another non-sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen is first-year Fukuoka Jujutsu High student Saki Rindo. She’s pretty easy to spot in the series with her blonde shoulder-length hair and bangs that cover one of her eyes.
#32 – Fujinuma
And there’s Fujinuma, another female character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series who has limited appearances.
