13 years later: Remembering the 9/11 terror attacks

September 11, 2014 marks thirteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks when the Twin Towers were brought down by terrorists. But even such a heartrending catastrophe couldn’t dampen our nation’s spirits as the terrible events caused our country come together—as we continue to do so more than a decade later. Today, we remember the victims and heroes of 9/11 and we continue to thank those still fighting for our freedom.

Only madmen could contain the thought, execute the act, fly the planes. The sane world will always be vulnerable to madmen, because we cannot go where they go to conceive of such things. We could not see it coming. We could not be here before it happened. We could not stop it. But we are here now. You cannot see us for the dust, but we are here. You cannot hear us for the cries, but we are here.  –Spiderman
