Over the weekend, Adam Driver (Kylo Ren from Star Wars: The Force Awakens) hosted Saturday Night Live. I was eager to watch, as he’s not an actor I’m particularly familiar with outside of TFA, and I was curious to see how he handled comedy.
Turns out, he’s pretty good!
Not one to miss an opportunity, one of the skits this weekend was based on Star Wars. It was a parody of the show Undercover Boss, where Driver, as Kylo Ren, went undercover to see what people thought of working on Starkiller Base. It was predictably hilarious.
Ugh, Matt really is the worst, isn’t he?
And this wasn’t the only great skit of the episode! There was also a surreal and bizarre, but totally entertaining, Golden Globes skit that I loved.
So that answers that question. Adam Driver has comedic chops, and he was a great SNL host to kick off 2016.
