Saturday Night Live Sketch Reveals Audition Tapes for Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Saturday Night Live has been on point in the past when it comes to Star Wars skits.

Well, this past weekend, they did it again.

Introduced by director J.J. Abrams himself, SNL decided to reveal the screen tests and auditions Abrams saw when casting The Force Awakens, and there were some… interesting ones, to say the least.

Not only do we get SNL cast members doing what they’re best at, but we also get some surprise celebrity cameos as well, including a sharp and self-aware Emma Stone.

Some of the best auditions are Cecily Strong as Sofia Vergara and Taran Killam as David Beckham (I lost it when he bended BB-8), but it was Bobby Moynihan playing George Lucas who really stole the sketch.

Even better are real Star Wars cast members Daisy Ridley (Rey) and John Boyega (Finn) showing up for the fun! Honestly, who can blame Ridley for having the most chemistry with Michael Bublé when he’s singing like that?

Who would you have cast from these screen tests? Let us know in the comments!
