2022 SDCC Celebrity Appearances
Our celebrity appearances last year were so exciting! From the WWE Queen Zelina to the Mandalorian Armorer, Emily Swallow, we had ’em all! It was a party from start to finish. Check out below to see what these celebs have been up to, and where you can find them now!
Queen Zelina from WWE
The Queen Zelina joins us at our booth last year and made quite the splash! Currently, the Queen is still signed with WWE, and continues to participate in those showdowns. Recently, on June 16th, Zelina won her own Smackdown match against Bayley.
Emily Swallow from The Mandalorian
This is the way! The Armorer, the leader of The Tribe, would surely say so. Emily Swallow brought the Armorer to our small screens, and it was amazing when she graced our booth with her presence last year. Swallow just appeared as the Armorer in season 3 of the Mandalorian, you can also find her as the voice of Lisa, in Netflix’ hit animated show, Castlevania.
Gabriel Iglesias
Gabriel Iglesias is one of the most famous and highest paid comedians in the world. His comedy specials on both Netflix and Comedy Central are some of the most popular comedy specials around. In 2022, Iglesias held a sold out comedy show at Dodgers stadium, the first comedian to do so! Look out for Fluffy, we’re sure he’s got more hilarious comedy coming soon.
Matthew Modine from Stranger Things (bold)
Matthew Modine is an actor/filmmaker who has been in the business since 1982! He rose to prominence through the role of Private/Sergeant “Joker” Davis, from the film Full Metal Jacket. Fast forward to now, and Modine can be seen in Netflix’ hit show Stranger Things, as the villainous Dr. Martin Brenner.
Sam J. Jones from Flash Gordon (bold)
The Flash Gordon! Sam J. Jones is most well known as Flash Gordon! The star of the movie visited our booth last year and made quite the impression! Hoping to see more of Jones? You can find him in the comedy Ted as well as the sequel, Ted 2.
