A Galaxy Far, Far Away Just Got Funnier

Star Wars is everywhere lately and you know what that means — Saturday Night Live is going to spoof it! This weekend, we saw James Franco hosting the comedy sketch show when SNL decided to put their own spin on the latest must-see trailer.

The trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens wisely show us Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, or Carrie Fisher, but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t dying to see some of their favorite characters again. SNL granted that wish with a twist.

The video features Taran Killam as a grouchy Han Solo, Bobby Moynihan as a visually impaired Princess Leia, and host James Franco as an ailing Luke Skywalker. Also in the video is Kenan Thompson as a married Lando Calrissian.

The spoof plays on the fact that these characters are going to be considerably older than when we last saw them in Return of the Jedi. The Mos Eisley Cantina has turned into diner and the Millennium Falcon displays a handicap sticker as a license plate. It’s all in good fun and will definitely get a laugh out of any Star Wars fan.

So what did you think of this parody? Tell us in the comments!
