The Star Wars craze is at an all-time high right now and there’s no escaping it. Literally. Now even when you travel, you’re bound to run into something promoting the galaxy far, far away. (But really, who would want to escape it?)
At Singapore’s Changi Airport, they’ve unveiled a life-sized X-Wing and a scale model TIE Fighter. And they’re awesome.

The X-Wing is parked in Terminal 3 and you can even get inside and take a picture! Well, if you can get a ticket. The airport is giving out 80 tickets a day until January 5 on a first come, first serve basis so if you’re going to be in Singapore, plan to make it a priority.
Meanwhile, the TIE Fighter is in Terminal 2 and while it’s a scale model so you can’t climb inside, it’s still pretty cool and even comes with Stormtroopers!

It’s hard to be tired of the Star Wars phenomenon when we get incredible things like this. Spaceships are a big part of this universe’s lore and it’s fun seeing industries and companies celebrate them. Nippon Airways even has an R2-D2 themed plane!
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams and starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, and Max von Sydow is set to come out on December 18, 2015.
What do you think of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter? Do you suddenly want to plan a trip to Singapore?
