Steven Spielberg Teases Reuniting with Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones 5

Back in May, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that another Indiana Jones movie will happen under Disney.

Rumors have been rampant about what an Indiana Jones 5 could entail, but in an interview for his upcoming movie Bridge of Spies (starring Tom Hanks), director Steven Spielberg may have shed a little light on the matter:

“We’ve gotta figure this out because now, Tom is tied with Harrison Ford: Harrison and I did four movies, Tom and I have done four movies. Now I’ll probably do an Indy 5 with Harrison, [so] it’ll be five for Harrison, four for Tom. I’ve got to make another one with Tom, that’ll be five for Tom, five for Harrison. And I think I’m going to leapfrog that way for the rest of my career. With Daniel Day-Lewis in everything else!”

There’s obviously a joking aspect but when you watch the clip (below), there’s something genuine about what Spielberg is saying too. It almost sounds like Indy 5 with Ford is simply a given for him.

For a long time, it was thought that another Indiana Jones film would star someone other than Ford – names like Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper were being tossed around. But Spielberg specifically mentions doing it with Ford.

Of course, Ford doing another Indy movie doesn’t mean someone else can’t join him – either as a new character, or a younger version of the archaeologist in flashbacks.

So what do you guys think? Do you want to see Spielberg and Ford take on the iconic Indiana Jones character again? What story would you want to see?
