Once again, the day is saved thanks to this casting announcement! Our favorite super-toddlers will fly back to your TV screens in 2016 and you won’t need x-ray vision to watch and enjoy.
Cartoon Network’s The Powerpuff Girls has been revamped in all its super-splendor with an all-new cast of talented voice actors. So who’s voicing Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup? Think on it! Except you, Bubbles.
With nothing less than superhuman skills, here come Amanda Leighton, Kristin Li and Natalie Palamides as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, respectively. Add a dash of Chemical X, and you’ve got a fantastic cast.
“It has been wonderful to see this new show team bring such passion and positive creative spirit to this iconic property,” says Chief Content Officer Rob Sorcher. “We know that fans of every age will appreciate this new take on saving the world before bedtime.”
Cartoon Network confirmed the series will focus on the original trio, but whether we will see mean mugs like the villainous Mojo Jojo and HIM is yet to be determined. There are also changes to the aesthetic of our favorite characters – most notably Buttercup’s sassy new cowlick!
But really, who’s complaining about a few minor changes? A classic show to all 90’s kids, now re-imagined in all its crime-fighting glory, is something to be beyond excited about. I personally cannot wait to see what the producers have up their sleeves!
So once again, the day is saved! Thanks to the Powerpuff Girls!
