The first official trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (aka Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows) hit and if there’s anything we can take away from it, it’s that everyone involved learned from the disappointing first film.
Truly, the only reason we’re getting this sequel is because the first, despite being a critical failure, made a whopping $493 million. However, the cast and crew are taking their second chance seriously and giving the fans what they’ve been looking for. And that’s exactly what this trailer is: fanservice… which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The humor is out in full force, as well as the CGI premiere of Bebop and Rocksteady, and Stephen Amell as Casey Jones.
There are some weird and awkward shots, but if fans are looking for humor and a movie about the turtles at the center of it (which the first film decidedly was not), this might be it.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Noel Fisher (Michelangelo) revealed “the story revolves a lot more around the four brothers…There’s a really great emotional arc, for how brothers interact when faced with challenges and have differences in how we are, how we view life and how we view ourselves.”
TMNT 2, directed by Dave Green and starring Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Danny Woodburn, Gary Anthony Williams, Tyler Perry, Brian Tee, Megan Fox, Stephen Amell, and Stephen Farrelly, is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2016.
