The CW’s hit show The Flash doesn’t return with new episodes until March 17th but we’ve got new episode stills and a pretty hilarious behind the scenes Instagram video to share with you!
The last we saw from the show, Dr. Stein and Ronnie left for Chicago to figure out their problem as Firestorm; Cisco, Joe, and Barry discovered that an adult Barry was present when his mother was murdered; we got our first major look at Gorilla Grodd; and we got confirmation that Harrison Wells is the Reverse Flash, or at least an iteration of him (perhaps from the future?). This show definitely decided to jump straight into the deep-end.
But there’s also fun to be had!
Tom Cavanagh plays the mysterious and dangerous Harrison Wells on the show, but backstage he’s buddy-buddy with Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) as they make… great dancing partners?
Well, at least Barry’s the one leading, right?
It looks like a pretty fun cast to hang out with, and this gets to the heart of why this show is as great as it is: it’s fun. For how many dark and gritty shows there are on television right, The Flash stands out as an absolute joy. This first season has been strong, and I hope it continues this way for many more to come.
The Flash returns on March 17th with the episode “Out of Time”, which you can see stills from below. Looks like Barry and Iris go on a bowling double date and the precinct gets attacked by Weather Wizard so all-in-all what we’ve come to expect from this show!
