Star Wars Celebration and J.J. Abrams have not let us down! The panel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens just concluded and it featured new cast members (Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, BB-8), old ones (Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, R2-D2) and a new teaser trailer.
That’s right, we have two glorious minutes of new footage. Feast your eyes on the trailer below.
As we surmised, we get some of the original trio in this second trailer.
Luke (Mark Hamill) has a voiceover, talking about the Force running in his family, as well as in the character he’s talking to. We hope it’s Rey (Daisy Ridley).
Then the moment that made us all scream: Han (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew)! Han saying “Chewie, we’re home” definitely got us a little choked up.
There are great action sequences, including Poe (Oscar Isaac) whooping and hollering as he pilots an X-Wing and Finn (John Boyega) and Rey getting up to trouble on the new planet Jakku (which we previously assumed to be Tatooine).
We also see Kylo Ren wielding his crossguard lightsaber and the new Stormtrooper designs.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams and starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, and Gwendoline Christie, is set to come out on December 18, 2015.
