The new Walking Dead season 5 trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Fans are already abuzz with the thrill of gore and action-packed drama suggested by this impressive trailer.
To the delight of comic book fans, The Walking Dead comic writer Robert Kirkman revealed that “very quickly, early on this season” they’ll be aligning the show’s plot with comic book events. Some scenes, in fact, are shot in suburbia or urban settings inspired by the comic books, lending the perfect aesthetics to comic readers’ trained eyes.
With the show’s creators hinting that this season will truly define the characters, fans shake with anticipation (and just a hint of dread – I mean, look at that
horrific incredible zombie makeup styling!) of a heart-stopping season premiere this October.
The drama appears to pick up where the season 4 finale left off, with Rick and the gang held captive in a shipping container. Many scenes suggest that the group is eventually set free, which leaves us only guessing how many walkers they’ll encounter on their journey to the capitol. Good luck to these zombie survivors!
One thing is for certain: no one’s going down easy. As Rick states in the opening of the new trailer, “They’re screwing with the wrong people.”
