Wealthy Gotham City Heiress and Heroine Makes a Stunning Statue

Kathy Kane Batwoman Maquette

Who doesn’t love a lady Bat? Kathy Kane was the first person to don the Batwoman mantle and now she’s the stunning Batman Classic Collection Batwoman Kathy Kane Maquette Statue from Tweeterhead.

tumblr_ma4ahidBae1rqtw48Tweeterhead’s Batman Classic Collection expands with this realistic maquette, based on her design in the original Detective Comics. She follows the Penguin in this line of detailed statues.

Batwoman comes on a display base mimicking a Gotham rooftop, fitting in perfectly with other Batman Classic Collection statues (sold separately). The 1:6 scale statue measures 13-inches tall. Kathy Kane stands in the classic superhero pose: hands on the hips. Each limited edition piece comes with a certificate featuring a classic comic book cover.

Her color scheme differs slightly from her original comic design, to which designer Chad Colebank stated: “The color of her costume is always up for debate, but for me and my team we always wanted to show the bodice and legs as black… to be honest, we did try her in all yellow. But, as in life, yellow pants weren’t very flattering.”

Sculptor Mike Cusanelli also spoke to 13thDimension.com about the piece:

“As I recall, Chad [Colebank] had a definite idea of the pose right from the start. He wanted her to be in a very classic “superhero” pose, proud with her hands on her hips. Then it was just a matter of getting the right reference together, which Chad is a whiz at finding. I believe we stayed true to what he wanted, the only variation was getting the cape to look like there was some motion in it, and then fiddling with various costume details.”

This outstanding piece is currently available for pre-order with free shipping at Entertainment Earth.
