Two New Star Wars BladeBuilders Lightsabers Coming Soon

Bladebuilders

Ever since Darth Vader darkly commended Luke in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi for having built a new lightsaber, we’ve known that assembling one’s own “elegant weapon for a more civilized age” is an important mark of making good as a Jedi.

Maybe you have childhood memories of cobbling together your own lightsaber from whatever materials you managed to rescue from the trash. No kyber crystal? No problem! It’s remarkable what empty cardboard paper towel and toilet paper tubes, construction paper, colored markers, and a Star Wars-hungry imagination can do!

Today, anyone looking for a lightsaber has lots of high-quality toy and replica options to choose from. Case in point: two new entries in Hasbro’s BladeBuilders system of mix-and-match plastic hilts, blades, and connectors. Both promise to be big hits with younglings – and more than a few “old masters” (ahem) – eager to reproduce the fast-paced lightsaber action of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in their backyards.

The Star Wars BladeBuilders Blast-Tech Lightsaber

This lightsaber combo packs the punch of two weapons in one. The easily extendable green lightsaber blade lights up and makes movie-authentic sound effects; the green, white, and orange blaster barrel fires a soft foam projectile (two provided). Use each weapon separately to fight alongside or against a friend, or combine blade and barrel to make yourself a double threat!

Star Wars Bladebuilders Spin-Action Lightsaber

If your sympathies turn more toward the Sith, you won’t want to miss this Bladebuilders lightsaber. It boasts an extendable lightsaber blade, a smaller lightdagger (for when your wickedness requires you to get up close and personal with your foes), and an awesome spinning connector hilt with which you can wield multiple blades at once, challenging your enemies with a full 360 degrees of danger!

Both of these “build your own” lightsabers include instructions and two 2-way connectors so you can link up with other sabers in the BladeBuilders collection. It’s time to Go Rogue. New Star Wars Rogue One items are live now on Entertainment Earth! Don’t miss your chance to prove how powerful you’ve become!
