“Hinder me? Thou fool. No living man may hinder me!”
In the Lord of the Rings Eowyn and the Nazgul Statue from Weta Collectibles, the shieldmaiden’s rage and terror are clear to see. This piece is a limited edition of only 300 pieces.
Ready to slay the fell-beast and its rider, this statue of Eowyn and the Nazgul measures 24-inches wide x 19-inches long x 11 4/5-inches tall. Featuring a faux-bronze finish, this spectacular Lord of the Rings Eowyn and the Nazgul Statue is cast in polystone resin, a material that enables intricate detail, and sits on a black marbled polystone base that’s cast using a process that creates a unique marbling effect for each individual piece.
This is the second sculpture in Weta’s range of The Art of John Howe and is based on Howe’s original artwork from the 1991 Tolkien Calendar. The Art of John Howe – Sculptures from Middle-earth is a series of sculptures from Howe’s iconic representations of Tolkien’s worlds, sculpted by Weta Workshop’s Daniel Cockersell, Brigitte Wuest, and Eden Small under the creative guidance of John Howe and Richard Taylor.
Born with the spirit and courage to match every rider of the Rohirrim, Eowyn was doomed to stay in the house and be burned within the house when the men have died in battle and honor. Yet, fierce and fair, she would not resign herself to that fate and assumed the mantle of a true rider of the Rohirrim. Thus, she was the woman to end the tyranny of the Nazgul and slay the Witch-King of Angmar in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
