What&#8217;s next, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=X-Files&amp;id=EN-407186506\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>The X-Files<\/em><\/strong><\/a> coming back?<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s exactly what&#8217;s next. The last time we saw FBI Special Agents Dana Scully (Gillian Andersen) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) was in the 2008 film <em>The X-Files: I Want to Believe<\/em> which wasn&#8217;t well received. However, despite that hiccup, fans across the board are willing and eager to see their favorite characters again.<\/p>\n<p>It looks like that will be happening sooner rather than later. A few days ago Fox TV Group Chairman Gary Newman said he was &#8220;hopeful&#8221; about the franchise getting a reboot and now Special Agent Mulder himself has commented on the possibility.<\/p>\n<p>When talking with <em>USA Today<\/em>, Duchovny had this to say:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I\u2019m assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We\u2019ll see what form, how many [episodes]. Certainly I can\u2019t nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We\u2019re all old, we don\u2019t have the energy for a full season.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Some fans may be disappointed in the fact that the show will probably return as a miniseries but Duchovny has a point. Plus, better to get it back in some capacity than not at all, right?<\/p>\n<p>So it looks like we can believe again.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think about <em>The X-Files<\/em> coming back?
