Are you ready to relive the glory days, Nintendo<\/strong><\/a> fans? The Nintendo 64 console turns 20 next year and you can now play a high-definition recreation of Super Mario 64<\/em><\/strong> on your computer! Watch a video for the project below.<\/p>\n

Thanks to developer Roystan Ross, Bob-Omb Battlefield, the first level of the popular and nostalgic game, is fully playable<\/a> in beautiful HD.<\/p>\n

This is part of Ross’ Super Character Controller<\/a> project for Unity.<\/p>\n

According to Ross:<\/p>\n

“Everything is just as you remember, except some really minor stuff that nobody cared about like red coins or the Wing Cap or the Big Bob-omb. Replacing them are crowd pleasers like giant springs and coin blocks.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You can play online or download it for your desktop with the following operating systems: Windows, Mac, and Linux.<\/p>\n

Ross says he doesn’t plan “to develop this any further” but you never know what could change in the future. For now, re-live the grand times of the mid-1990s where you played Super Mario 64<\/em> on the N64. I know what I’ll be doing when I get home.<\/p>\n
