What color Federation shirt would Hal Jordan wear? Which Lantern Corps would Kirk, Spock, Bones, Uhura, and all your favorites belong to? We might get answers to these questions when Star Trek<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and the Green Lantern<\/strong><\/a> cross over.<\/p>\n

IDW Publishing and DC Comics announced a six-issue miniseries titled Star Trek\/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War<\/em>. It will be written by Mike Johnson (Star Trek, Supergirl<\/em>) with art by Angel Hernandez (Infinite Crisis: Fight for the Multiverse, Arrow<\/em>). The art will be based on J.J. Abrams’ 2009 Star Trek<\/em> cast.<\/p>\n

Greg Goldstein, IDW President and COO, said: “We\u2019ve looked forward to bringing these two iconic universes together for a long time. Star Trek and Green Lantern both share so many of the same science-fiction adventure themes and ideals, that a galaxy-spanning crossover like this is simply…logical.”<\/p>\n

Vaiant covers will be done by Gabriel Rodriguez, Francesco Francavilla, Elsa Charretier and Garry Brown. You can see Rodriguez and Francavilla’s covers below. In the former’s, it looks like General Chang (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country<\/em>) is sporting a yellow power ring.<\/p>\n

Here’s the official synopsis:<\/p>\n

“Set in Star Trek\u2019s 23rd Century, the balance of the universe will be tested when the Green Lantern Corps\u2019 Power Rings come into the possession of certain Star Trek characters while a dark and powerful evil looms around every corner. Only the combined power of the Green Lantern Corp and the Federation stand any chance of stopping those who worship evil\u2019s might.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

2011 saw DC and Star Trek’s<\/em> first crossover, featuring likenesses of William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and the original crew.<\/p>\n

Star Trek\/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War #1<\/em> is set to be released in July.<\/p>\n
