Just a day after getting our first good look at the Thing<\/a>, we have a first look at another Marvel character! Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a>, we present to you: Yellowjacket, the villain in Marvel’s<\/strong><\/a> upcoming film, Ant-Man<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Corey Stoll plays Darren Cross a.k.a. Yellowjacket, a former prot\u00e9g\u00e9 of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). He possesses a more technologically advanced suit than Ant-Man. After Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) steals Pym’s Ant-Man suit, Pym recruits Lang to steal the Yellowjacket suit from Cross in one last heist<\/a>. Presumably Cross gets a little power-hungry with the suit.<\/p>\n

This costume certainly looks sleek. While we don’t see anything that boasts of its technological advances, director Peyton Reed is here to assuage our concerns:<\/p>\n

“Hank Pym\u2019s Ant-Man suit doesn\u2019t have a single weapon, whereas Yellowjacket is armed with plasma cannons\u2026 Ant-Man is very fast when he\u2019s small\u2026 Also, when he shrinks, he increases his density, so he\u2019s got increased strength.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Speaking of Ant-Man shrinking, check out the photo of Yellowjacket again. See that tiny figure at his left shoulder (on the right side of the image)? That’s our hero, Scott Lang!<\/p>\n

Whatever happens in this film, the action sequences will definitely be unique. I’m excited to see how they do it all. <\/p>\n

Ant-Man<\/em>, directed by Peyton Reed, and starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Douglas, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pe\u00f1a, Judy Greer, Tip \u201cTi\u201d Harris, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, and Jordi Moll\u00e0, will hit theaters on July 17, 2015.<\/p>\n
