Listen up, DC fans! If you love Arrow<\/a><\/em> and The Flash<\/a>,<\/em> you’ll be pleased to know that its spinoff and Supergirl<\/em><\/strong><\/a> have both been picked up to series!<\/p>\n

What does this mean? It means that both shows will be getting a full first season!<\/p>\n

The new series about the girl from Krypton, starring Melissa Benoist<\/a>, got greenlit from CBS. The exact number of episodes have not been revealed, but the show will hit the network later this year.<\/p>\n

\"supergirl\"<\/a> As for the untitled spinoff, one of its stars, Victor Garber<\/strong> (Dr. Stein), gave the scoop to BroadwayWorld<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“I really honestly can\u2019t tell you much about it except it is completely new and it will involve a lot of interesting people. [\u2026] We haven\u2019t filmed any of it yet – but, it is going straight to series. We start filming in August and it will be on in January.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If the spinoff is going to be a midseason series, we have to wonder how many episodes will be in its first season. Midseason shows are typically shorter.<\/p>\n

It will follow a team consisting of: Brandon Routh\u2019s Atom, Victor Garber\u2019s Dr. Martin Stein, Wentworth Miller\u2019s Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell\u2019s Heat Wave, Caity Lotz\u2019s Canary, Ciara Ren\u00e9e\u2019s Hawkgirl, Arthur Darvill\u2019s Rip Hunter, and Franz Drameh’s Jay Jackson.<\/p>\n

Curiously, the team (along with Stephen Amell’s Arrow and Grant Gustin’s Flash) was seen together a few weeks ago:<\/p>\n
