Over the past couple of years, some of you might have heard of Batkid.<\/strong> Real name Miles Scott is a young boy who, at the age of 5, was fighting Leukemia. His only wish, to become a superhero, was granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation in November 2013.<\/p>\n

The incredible tale, which will undoubtedly have you tearing up, is being made into a film titled Batkid Begins.<\/strong><\/em> The first trailer was released and you can watch it below!<\/p>\n

The film will document Scott’s fight against Leukemia and why he identifies so much with superheroes, Batman<\/strong><\/a> especially.<\/p>\n

“One of his doctors told us that with this disease, they just become, like, a fighter,” Scott’s father said. “They fight for life. I think he sees the good vs. evil battle in superheroes.”<\/p>\n

For his wish, the entire city of San Francisco was transformed into Gotham Ciy. Scott, dressed up in full Bat gear, got to tag along with a grown-up Batman to help save the day from villains like the Riddler and Penguin.<\/p>\n

Originally, the story went viral quickly, gaining attention from the actors who have played Batman over the years to President Obama himself which the documentary also touches on.<\/p>\n

As of November, Scott’s Leukemia was in remission.<\/p>\n

Batkid Begins<\/em> is set to open in select theaters on June 26th.<\/p>\n
