In May, we learned that the proposed spin-off<\/a> to Marvel’s<\/a> Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/a><\/em><\/strong> starring Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) would not be happening. Well, three months later, it’s been greenlit! Sort of.<\/p>\n

Variety<\/em> reports<\/a> that ABC is<\/em> closing in on a deal to order a pilot for a proposed show called Marvel’s Most Wanted<\/em> starring the same two leads. Sounds like the once proposed spin-off, doesn’t it?<\/p>\n

According to insiders, however, it’s not so much a spin-off as it is a completely separate journey for the two characters.<\/p>\n

What this probably means is that we won’t see many of our favorite SHIELD<\/em> characters on Most Wanted.<\/em> Bobbi and Lance got their start on the former, but now it’s time for them to have a separate arc. Who knows, it could even turn out to be a prequel series.<\/p>\n

All I know is that Bobbi and Lance are two of the best and most popular characters on SHIELD<\/em> so I think it’s a fair guess to say they can hold their own show.<\/p>\n

Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, SHIELD<\/em> producers, co-created this new series. They co-wrote the pilot and will also act as showrunners and executive producers, alongside Marvel\u2019s head of television Jeph Loeb.<\/p>\n

SHIELD<\/em> returns to ABC on September 9th with its third season.<\/p>\n
