Dating back to 1923, these exquisite dolls were some of the first collectible dolls on the market. The entrepeneur of this venture was Beatrice Alexander, who created the first collectible doll based on a licensed character – Scarlett O’Hara from the book and movie Gone with the Wind.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now another license, DC Comics, is getting the Madame Alexander treatment.<\/p>\n

First up are 16-inch dolls, featuring Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn. Each doll comes with fabric outfits based on their most classic comic appearances (from Harley’s red and white harlequin suit to Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth). <\/p>\n

They are fully articulated and made with detailed precision.<\/p>\n

Next, Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and Batman arrive as 8-inch dolls. These figures have rounder, softer features including fluffy hair and fabric costumes.<\/p>\n

With the classic Madame Alexander look, these dolls are truly special and will be a highlight of any fan’s collection. They are currently available for pre-order at Entertainment Earth<\/a>, with an expected arrival date of October 2015 and free shipping.<\/p>\n
