The rivalry between Marvel<\/strong><\/a> and DC<\/strong><\/a> suddenly got more heated.<\/p>\n

Back in August, it was announced<\/a> that DC, Warner Bros. TV, and NBC are developing a single-camera sitcom a la The Office<\/em> called Powerless<\/em> set within the DC Universe.<\/p>\n

The comedy will take place at an insurance company – and you must imagine how terrible that job would be in a world with superheroes where damage is the norm.<\/p>\n

The show will come from Ben Queen<\/strong> (A to Z<\/em>) and is committed to a pilot at this time.<\/p>\n

Today, however, Variety<\/em><\/a> revealed that Marvel and ABC are also<\/em> developing a single-camera sitcom about powerless people in a superhero world.<\/p>\n

The series, titled Damage Control,<\/em> will follow the crew that’s assigned to clean up the fallout from various superhero conflicts, whether it be returning lost items or rescheduling events at venues that were destroyed.<\/p>\n

It was developed by Ben Karlin<\/strong> (The Daily Show, Modern Family<\/em>) and is the second Marvel series currently in pre-production, following the confirmation of a Mockingbird and Lance Hunter spin-off<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There’s no knowing when either show will hit the air nor what familiar characters will appear, but let the rivalry between these very<\/em> similar shows begin.<\/p>\n
