We’re a little over a month away from the premiere of Marvel’s<\/strong><\/a> next Netflix series, Jessica Jones,<\/strong><\/em> and there’s a brand new trailer for you to feast your eyes on. Check it out below!<\/p>\n

This trailer features not only the first head-on shot of Krysten Ritter<\/a> as the titular Jessica Jones, but also our first introduction to David Tennant’s villain<\/a>, Zebediah Killgrave, aka the Purple Man, in the form of a voice over.<\/p>\n

As Jessica puts up a collage of photos at her work, Alias Investigations, Killgrave speaks in a menacing voice: “Jessica. I know your secrets. I know about your friends, about your gifts. Jessica… Jessica Jones. I know everything.”<\/p>\n

After Jessica leaves, the shot slowly zooms in on the collage which ends up looking like a face, focusing on dark, evil eyes tinted with purple.<\/p>\n

It’s a chilling trailer, but when you remember the history of the Purple Man – that his kidnapping and tormenting of Jessica led her to abandon being a superhero and instead become a PI – it makes sense.<\/p>\n

Another interesting thing about this trailer is the time-stamp at the beginning: 2:23 am, Hell’s Kitchen.<\/p>\n

Every teaser trailer has had a time-stamp. The first<\/a> had her waking up at 3 pm, the second<\/a> had her at a bar at 7:54 pm, and the one right before this<\/a> had her strolling the streets of Hell’s Kitchen at 11:57 pm.<\/p>\n

Your guess is as good as mine as to what this means. Will the series take place over the course of a handful of days and each episode will be marked by a time of day? Will time and\/or a countdown be an important part of the series’ plot?<\/p>\n

We’ll have to wait to find out but I, for one, am very excited. The marketing around this series is promising and if it’s anywhere near as good as Daredevil,<\/em> we’re in for an exciting ride.<\/p>\n

Jessica Jones<\/em> will hit Netflix on November 20th. It stars Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Rosario Dawson (returning from Daredevil<\/em> as Claire Temple), David Tennant, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville, Wil Traval, and Erin Moriarty.<\/p>\n
