{"id":30856,"date":"2015-10-09T16:44:34","date_gmt":"2015-10-09T23:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/?p=30856"},"modified":"2019-03-06T15:42:31","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T23:42:31","slug":"aladdin-never-before-seen-robin-williams-outtakes-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com/news\/aladdin-never-before-seen-robin-williams-outtakes-and-more\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch Never-Before-Seen Clips of Robin Williams Recording as the Genie from Aladdin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On October 13th, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?searchfield=disney&amp;id=EN-407186506\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Disney<\/strong><\/a> releases a new Blu-Ray edition of <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.entertainmentearth.com\/hitlist.asp?theme=Aladdin&amp;id=EN-407186506\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aladdin<\/a>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>To preview the big release, Disney&#8217;s theater the El Capitan showed the film for several weeks and now <em>Good Morning America<\/em> has released a couple videos celebrating the film.<\/p>\n<p>First is the late and beloved <strong>Robin Williams,<\/strong> who voiced the hugely popular Genie, in some never-before-seen outtakes from his recording sessions, followed by an interview with the cast and crew:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/video\/embed?id=34365579\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/\">ABC Breaking News<\/a> | <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Video\">Latest News Videos<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Williams&#8217; brilliance is on full display here, and it reminds you of what a hugely talented person he was.<\/p>\n<p>Co-director <strong>Ron Clements<\/strong> recalls recording with him: &#8220;We recorded him in four-hour sessions and he would be going for four-hours straight. By the end, he was just drenched in sweat. He had so much energy and so much passion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Next, <strong>Brad Kane<\/strong> and <strong>Lea Salonga,<\/strong> the singing voices behind Aladdin and Jasmine, reunited to do a rendition of &#8220;A Whole New World&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/video\/embed?id=34368403\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/\">ABC Breaking News<\/a> | <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Video\">Latest News Videos<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And after those two videos, I&#8217;m definitely getting a little misty.<\/p>\n<p><em>Aladdin<\/em> will be released on Blu-Ray on October 13th.
