As a psychopomp of the celebrated comic book series, Gaiman’s Death defies several tropes and stereotypes, such as visiting people both as they die and<\/em> as they’re born.<\/p>\n

Another big difference is her appearance – decidedly not very Grim Reaper-like and beautifully depicted here in dark, casual clothing with black boots, her silver ankh around her neck, and a marking near her right eye similar to the eye of Horus.<\/p>\n
