There were very few first time winners, with shows like <em>The Amazing Race<\/em> taking home an Emmy Award for the tenth time. Of course, <em><a title=\"Breaking Bad\" href=\"http:\/\/q.entertainmentearth.com\/?l=3q5bp4\"><strong>Breaking Bad<\/strong><\/a><\/em> is yet again King, as the show swept almost all of the major drama categories &#8211; but who&#8217;s surprised? <em>Breaking Bad<\/em> wins include a fourth Lead Actor win for Bryan Cranston, a third Supporting Actor win for Aaron Paul, a second Supporting Actress win for Anna Gunn, an Outstanding Writing in a Drama win for Moira Walley-Beckett, and a second win for Best Drama Series. Undoubtedly <em>Breaking Bad<\/em> stole the show.<\/p>\n<p>That being said, there were some other big wins last night, with <em>True Detective<\/em> (said to be <em>Breaking Bad<\/em>&#8216;s competition for Best Drama Series) taking home the award for Outstanding Direction in Drama. Julianna Margulies won in the Lead Actress acategory for her role on <em>The Good Wife<\/em>, which was the only drama category win for a broadcast network. <em>Modern Family<\/em> &#8211; an Emmy Awards favorite &#8211; won its fifth straight outstanding comedy Emmy in addition to Supporting Actor in a Comedy for Ty Burrell, and Outstanding Comedy Director for Gail Mancuso.<\/p>\n<p><em><a title=\"Sherlock\" href=\"http:\/\/q.entertainmentearth.com\/?l=r7fmh1\"><strong>Sherlock<\/strong><\/a><\/em> picked up leading and supporting actor wins for Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as well as a writing award for <em>Sherlock<\/em> co-creator, Steven Moffat.<\/p>\n<p>Notable occurrences of The 66th Annual Emmy Awards include: a touching tribute to Robin Williams, a smooch between Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Bryan Cranston, and Weird Al Yankovic spoofing television&#8217;s most popular shows, including <em><a title=\"Game of Thrones\" href=\"http:\/\/q.entertainmentearth.com\/?l=x4w1tv\"><strong>Game of Thrones<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.
